The VacuMaid Utility Vac system utilizes sealed paper bag units that feature a two-layer disposable paper bag, providing excellent filtration. These paper bags are not only cost-effective but also convenient to dispose of, making vacuum maintenance a breeze. The dirt and debris collected by the system are stored in the filter bag located inside the dirt canister. To remove the accumulated dirt, simply follow these easy steps:

• Lift the lid straight up to remove it as there are no hinges or clamps.
• Slide the rubber gasket surrounding the hole in the paper bag off the plastic inlet stem that sticks out through the side of the canister to remove the bag.
• After taking off the bag from the inlet stem, seal it by removing the backing from the tab and covering the hole with the flap.
• Securely press the flap over the hole to prevent any dirt or dust from escaping.
• Lift the paper bag from the dirt canister and dispose of it in a suitable trash container.
• Take a new bag and fully extend it before placing it into the canister.
• Slide the rubber gasket onto the inlet stem until it drops into place in the ridge around the stem.
• Carefully replace the lid onto the dirt canister to ensure a proper seal, preventing any vacuum leaks that could reduce cleaning efficiency.

The filter bag should be replaced or cleaned when there is 3-6 inches of dirt accumulated or if there is a noticeable decrease in airflow at the cleaning tool. This original manufacturer's replacement bag for the VacuMaid UV Series Utility Vacs features the MaxFlo Hepa Bag with two inlet openings, providing optimal fine particle filtration. Please note that it is not compatible with VacuMaid Garage Vac units.
